So apparently, there was this teenage girl who was at Target, and found this hot employee and he appealed to her so much, she took a picture of him and that was the day Alex Christopher LaBeouf went viral.



On November 2nd, Twitter user @auscalum tweeted a picture of a Target employee wearing the name tag "Alex" and bagging items behind the cashier. In the following 24 hours, the tweet gained over 1,000 retweets and 2,000 favorites. November 2nd was also the day that hell broke loose. CNN, one of the most serious and worldwide websites, had Alex from Target on their "Trending" header.



This also caused teenage girls to devote themselves to him. Here is a Twitter post.



Alex went so famous in a small period of time, he appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

On the morning of November 3rd, Target's official Twitter account posted an image of an employee tag featuring the name Alex in support of the overnight phenomenon, which gained over 10,000 retweets and 15,000 favorites in less than six hours. It's actually said that he has "the Ryan Gosling effect". And sadly, it also caused extremely... unique fanfictions...

That poor guy. When I first heard of this I started feeling pissed off about how attractive people are pretty much playing the game of life on easy mode, but I had no idea he would be bothered this much by it. Sure he'll have good job oppertunities but he's pretty much being forced into fame and being watched by people all the time.

I don't know a single person who wouldn't be driven insane by constantly having to worry about people taking pictures of you without your permission while you're out in public. Also, being famus and sucked up to stops being fun fast. Trust me, no matter how egotistical you are, you will get tired of it more quickly than you would think.


Did you know that a lot of guys are saying mean things about him on the internet a lot lately? So many people are convinced that he is an ass hole that doesn't deserve his fame at all, which may be true but it's not like he asked for this.


Will he ever have any real friends again? Will he ever be able to have some alone time with himself or anyone outside his house? Will his life ever go back to normal? Probably not for a while or ever. If he's lucky, people will finally forget about him after about ten years or so unless he is forced into adapting and does get a career such as modeling or something that makes his name immortal.


What if he doesn't want "alex from target" to be his identity? I sure as hell wouldn't want that. Whoever he is, even if he is a jerk, I'll keep him in my prayers.
