With all of these users posting pictures of themselves lately and the contest, I'm starting to realize something.
When you don't know what someone looks like it leaves space for you to imagine something that you can relate to easily. And when you relate to something easily, it makes it less difficult to get to know that thing. That thing being the person. However you perceive that person to look like creates a personal connection.
When I see what users look like I feel as though I'm left with a sense of disillusionment. It kind of kills the fun in a way.

Of course it's always interesting at first but it kills the mystery and you're forced to see them as a specific thing. Don't get me wrong, I like being surprised by attractive or ugly people as much as the next guy, but it gets... boring.

I'm not good with faces. I always forget what people look like, so I identify people more easily by their names.
