Females, however, can lie better than males can on a statistical basis. Not the best liars, but this is shown in both untrained and trained liars. A female who is untrained does below a trained male, but not by a wide margin. On the flip side, a trained female compared to a male is better, but not by a wide margin either, since it tapers off. Untrained females to untrained males however, beat the males by a wide margin.
