Any non video gaming characters, and any video game characters that have never appeared on a Nintendo system.

Yes, he did, but he first appeared as an anime character, he didn't appeared in video games till almost 30-40 years since the show ended.

In fact, he didn't even appear in a Nintendo system.

Ridely: He's too big to be a playable character.

Because Bowser cannot become big on his own. He's big because he sometimes uses mushrooms, Kamek's (magic koopa) magic, or he creats magic of his own to become big.

Kingdom Hearts characters: I actually don't know how to explain this, but it's up to Sakurai if he wants to. Even on his E3 Nintendo Direct developer interview, he said he won't have any random 3rd party characters.

goku was on the nes before the english version of dbz even came out. dbz was on every nintendo system.
