I was thinking something new.

My idea: ALL submitted threads need to be approved by a forum moderator before it is posted publicly.

I am online at least 10 hours a day so I could do this job, not to mention the other forum moderators.

This would eliminate useless, bad, etc. threads altogether.

What do you think?

UPDATE: To make things more clear, this is exactly how it will work:

1. Member makes a thread and hits "Post."
2. Directs you to a page that says it is being reviewed by a Forum Moderator.

3. When forum moderators have time, they go to the PAGE and it lists all the submitted threads pending to be made public.

4. Forum moderators use simple buttons to decline/accept. Also, the member gets an automatic PM saying their thread was accepted/declined, and by which moderator.

5. If declined, forum moderators need to include a reason.
6. When approved it is made public.

This whole process should take LESS THAN A DAY.

I prefer being able to post instantly, but I think this idea should definitely be considered.

How about people who post spam and useless threads lose the privilege of being able to post instantly, while other people who have followed the rules can?

No, what about the other 14 hours your not?
Mods arent in the chats for more than 6 hours of a day. Even longer for forum mods. If this is to happen then kiss the forums good bye

No, just no.

We should just do a topic creation limit system. (Only 3 topics per days maybe?)
^=
And only users that has been on Plaza for 2 days can create topics.

I perfer if there was a bot like Robdebot called ForumBot that reads through everybody's thread at once and close/sticky it if it's bad/good instantly.

What if it was that the forum mods choose whether the person who posted it had the privileges to post instantly, or if the reputation is under 50% then they would need to be checked. But your idea is good too.

Sorry, but there could be quite a few flaws with this idea.

-Someone could spam and spam and spam, so each time they submit, mods are bombarded with spam threads.
-Sometimes threads need to be made instantly. If someone made a thread so everyone could view immediately, say it was urgent, it would be useless if a mod actually let it be public five hours later.
-If someone didn't make what they were saying clear or made typos, it's too late, they clicked submit and they can't fix it. So the mod will think, "What's he talking about? No. I'm not accepting this."
-Any forum mod would probably be able to post whatever they want I guess, unless they also have the rule. If they also have the rule, it would be ridiculous if they get their thread sent to a mod. But if they didn't have the rule, they could post whatever they want even if it wasn't too important or useful, which is basically saying: "Only mods are good users, any other user has to be punished because *insert user* didn't die for their sins."

No, no, no. If it comes to this it really shows how sad and immature this community is.

Hmm, alright. What about ModernSonic's idea?
