I think it's funny how you guys pick apart something I said rather. Some constructive criticism (that is not directly preceded by insults) would be nice, but instead you go to insults. This is honestly one of the most stagnant-minded forums I have been on.

I know many Canadians who can talk American politics because they know that what goes on in the United States directly influences everything in Canada.

For example, the reason why so many Canadians started to oppose the relocation of Syrian refugees is partly due to the majority of America's refusal's influence.
Canada and America can be compared to France and Belgium. Scotland and Ireland. Very similar culturally have direct influence over each other politically; however America has more influence on Canada than vice versa.
American politics doesn't just affect Canadian politics, it influences the entire western world.
Basically, the average Canadian citizen knows something about American politics (more than you) because they know how much it influences Canada.
