Just a quick note, on the line in Leviticus.

For clarification, It's not a Christan text, it's Hebrew.

The entire Old Testament consists of books from the Torah, or the Hebrew Bible. If you're trying to quote the Bible for anything from a Christan standpoint, you use the New Testament, consisting of books that aren't even a reliable recount of what happened* All those laws (in Leviticus) were compiled by Jewish exiles over a long period of time, and The Book's purpose is two-fold; Outline the practices of time and outline the 'Laws' of the time, according to what they determined to be sins or not. Which is why just a few lines after, they also mention killing children and stoning anyone who works on a Sunday.

So what does Jesus have to say about gays?

He lumps them in with other Eunuchs, and says that even though these men can't marry women, you should just deal with it, or in his own words.

And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.” The disciples said to him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”But he said to them, “Not everyone can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given. For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it.”

Or, Divorce is bad (Which is funny, because of all groups, Christans have the highest divorce rates), but just because Eunuchs (Celibates, Castrates and Homosexuals) can't marry women doesn't mean that normal married men are any better than them.

Mathew 19 9-12

Compared to another Old Testament law

No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the Lord.

Deutronomy 23:1

Or, if your ding-a-ling is missing or damaged, you don't get to go to heaven.

If you want to dig up from something from the New Testament where Jesus himself bashed gays, feel free to go ahead and quote it.


(*The text wasn't written down during Jesus's time, but became a sort of Verbal history originating from Jesus's disciples and passed down by word of mouth. It was several Generations before anyone thought to actually write it down, so your source is as least a Tertiary source of info)
