I enjoyed it. It had a few moments (if you watched it then you would know what I mean) that can hit you in the feels and a nice moral. The gags? I definitely saw what they did there.
Trying not to spoil it, but there's some noice facial expressions in this one too, like on season 6 episode 3. Prepare the new reaction faces!

That's one of them. They're just brilliant. 10/10.

Pretty much.

TBH, I had experienced the same thoughts when it came to what they all said to each other.
Then, I thought of something: maybe Trixie ended up with this "you don't know what you have lost until it's gone" moment. Even though it looked as if it was initially intended to manipulate Starlight.
She seemed very grateful when Starlight saved her after the short drama they had (seemly not expecting her to come back ??).
When Trixie got shot out of that cannon and ended up getting closer to the target, it looked as if she regretted her decision. And yes, it did look a bit of a suicide mission and you are most certainly not the first one to state that.


Also, the near to the end when Cranky asked Celestia... that was just perfect.

Trixie wasn't JUST using Starlight to be "better" than Twilight. She even said that she actually does want Starlight as a friend, being "better" than Twilight was just a bonus (which still makes her a dick, but the point still stands).

"Then Trixie changes her mind and says "I mean no" in a really fake voice."
I know exactly what Trixie was doing at that moment, and I've done it too. She didn't change her mind. She was using Starlight, but she really did want to have Starlight as a friend.

When I first saw the episode, I thought Trixie was only using Starlight, and didn't know she wanted her as a friend until after Star left, so I can see how you may have misunderstood.
