David isn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be. Sure, he's an arrogant jackass, but he really has a heart. It's merely a cloak that hides his actual feeling for people, which brings it out into hatred and contempt. The only way he knows to get back at people is by insulting. He's just a softie that cares.
