Obviously, I'm just asking for opinions. I never said I was going to let the majority "vote" automatically change my mind on something without any good reason. You are jumping to too many conclusions.

There is a large difference between "hey guys, I want your opinions on how the mods should do their job. I appreciate constructive criticism since there is always room for improvement!" and "guys I don't know how to do my job. What kinds of threads am I supposed to close?"
