Lani (2015-02-21 20:21:32)The issue I have with these tests, is that I can read every personality type and relate to each one to some degree, similar to the Zodiac. We're too complex to label and cluster into a specific personality.
You might notice that none of these say anything like: "You're simple minded and not very smart. You're a follower who jumps on whatever band wagon sounds good to you rather than studying the theory yourself or developing a logical opinion of your own"...I think we all know of someone who fits that description. Not all personalities are good like this system claims them to be...and sure, there's probably redeemable qualities in everyone, but personality is certainly what gives a first impression.

Mephistopheles (2015-02-21 20:27:49)I'm sure that the results of these tests aren't entirely accurate. These tests aren't cognitive, so they won't focus on actual intelligence, rather the potentials that one has regardless of if they're intelligent or not.
I'm skeptic too but no matter how many of these tests I take and how differently the questions are worded, I always get the same type.
Ignore the whole BS paragraph that it gives you and it comes down to this:
Extroverted (E) vs. Introverted (I)
Sensing (S) vs. Intuition (N)
Thinking (T) vs. Feeling (F)
Judging (J) vs. Perceiving (P)

AntiChrist (2015-02-21 20:33:27)Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Judging. I'm pretty sure that's me. Don't worry, I'm not getting judgung confused with actually judging people like most people think. I also know that the feeling function is not the same as being emotional.
Also, to those who don't think this test is legit, over 40+ years of research is put into this and even though it's called a personality test, this actually only shows you... I gues you can say a piece of your overall personality.

Lani (2015-02-21 20:51:21)I wasn't really comparing the legitimacy of these tests to astrology, only that they have similar outcomes...Even if this test gave you the completely wrong result, you'd probably relate to it.
