I need to check up on the chats to see how well the moderators are doing right now, but I don't want to. At least, not until Christmas.

Me as a forum moderator? Yeah, how 'bout no? I'm only as active Fridays-Sundays. Monday-Thursdays, I'm here for only an hour or two depending if I have school or not, and I don't think I'm as fit for such a position. But why did you suggest all those people for chat? Are the chat moderators really chaotic? It's like the chatrooms are gonna have 100 moderators, while we only have about 5 or 6 excluding Nait, Rob and SL. By the way, ChampLeake is better off as just a Newsposter.

Let me get some of these out of the way:

~Foreverluv (This person normally stays in the un-popular chats.)
The rare moment an un-popular chat actually exists. Even then, just because she's always in them doesn't make her moderator material.

~PokeCat (This person was demoted before but I will give this person a second chance trial.)
She might be worth a second trial by now, however she's not entirely active enough. She'd be a fine addition if we didn't already have so many chat mods.

~HeroLarcio (Again second chance trial.)
Again, he'd be a good addition if he's active enough.

~Ponopzop (Another second chance trial.)
She asked for a demotion and likely won't want to ever be remodded.

As for the rest, none of them show great promise...likely because they might be known to break rules, or give no impression that they care about the rules (at least enough to enforce them). Sure, they might have potential, but they're not going to make any better replacements for the mods we already have....which all of our current mods (with an exception or two) are all pretty great.

Just wanted to note, I'm only talking about the chat mod suggestions. I think most of the other suggestions were good, for as much as I know about those listed users

Selling point, but remember that just because you see them online frequently, it doesn't mean that they're any more capable than someone with shorter periods of activity.

Seriously. Pick mods that will do the damn job right first and foremost. Everything other quality about them is a bonus, not a requirement and damn well isn't enough to even be considered in the first place.

I'm pretty sure there's only two or so, and it's the ones who either double-down as forum mods or frequent the forums while having Chat Mod privileges.

Everyone else is bad.

I've been in the RP room lately, so it's been awhile since I've seen recent behavior from most of these mods. However, from what I have seen:

Kishy
Bean
Samurott (orwhateverhernameis)
Drake
TetrisDude
Arrggg
Maybe sasuke...?

Are all pretty good. Which leaves:
Chad (Doesn't seem to do much)
PlayerArc (Doesn't do much until any user tells him to)
Bellamy (Community vote)
Meia (^)

4/11 which I consider to be not so great mods...Of course, even most of the "good" mods might need a few touch-ups....but again, it's nothing that replacing them will fix. No one on here is going to make the perfect mod on their own, so we should probably just look at terrible or highly inactive mods for reconsideration until a CM steps up with an in-depth Code of Conduct or something.

Lani, 3 of the ones you listed are also Forum mods. Of course they're good; What's the point of giving forum and chat Modship to a terrible mod? (Meia pls)

So that leaves 4 "Good" chat mods who only have Chat privelages.

I know Kishy is a forum regular, and I can tell she's a reasonable individual from her posting. I'm not at all suprised she's a good chat mod.

As for the other 3 (2, since Sasuke is a maybe), I don't bother with the chats, so I can't judge them, and I haven't seen them on the forums.

4 sub-par mods, and 2 (3 if we throw sasuke in the mix) decent mods who use just the chats.

3 (or 4) if we also throw in Kishy, who's a forum regular,

and 6 (or 7) if we throw in the ones with Double Modship.

As is, Chat mods need to step their game up then. The forums have a smaller pool of Forum-exclusive mods, and there's no issues with any of them.

You see, this is the difference btween people who speak because they have something to say and people who just speak because they just want to say something.


I see a lot of users just listing mods and giving their "opinions" on them, even though they obviously know nothing about those mods. Han is able to admit he doesn't know about a couple particular moderators, which is his reason for not judging them. This is what everyone should be doing.


There has been too mamy times when certain users only know about two moderators, but give "opinions" on more than just those two, even though they don't know anything about the mods they mentioned. They just want to sound like they know more than they do.


I've seen people blindly agree with each other aabout which mods are "bad", when they haven't even seen for themselves what they do wrong. Nobody is even being judged correctly anymore. It's all just becomming a thing where everyone makes a list

"Meia- durr... Idk ima just say she not a good mod because thats what everyone else says. Meia shud b demoted

Junaid- dur... Ya hes gud


Lani- i nevr seen this person before but ima jus say "nu she to strikt" bcuz das what a few othr ppl said

Giving opinions on weather or not those mods are "doing their job good enough" not because the ones talking about the mods CARE, but because they want to contribute to the conversation to look smart.



If you don't know anything about a mod other than what you've seen someone else say about them, don't give your "opinion" on them at all. Don't judge them if you don't know them.
