Cognitive functions do not change, but your overall personality does. Your personality stops developing when you are around the age of twenty. Am I correct?

I KNOW WHAT THIS IS ABOUT NOW. (Hear me out mega)

Okay so personality is a touchy subject among psychologists. There are 5 main contemporary perspectives all considered to be scientifically credible by the APA. (American Psychological Association)
-Psychodynamic
-Behaviorist
-Humanistic
-Cognitive
-Biological

Me saying the thing about physical development is among factors outlined in he biological theory, given that personalities are caused by well, biological development.

Mega, on the other hand brought up an article that was on more of a behaviorist/psychodynamic leaning side. Personalities are caused by conditioning and and morals, in this case. In this theory, change can happen despite biological factors.

The truth is, nobody actually knows where personalities come from. But we have a good understanding of factors that may effect it. The truth most likely is a mix of all theories.

I don't know if you guys know this, but psychologists actually have no idea what the hell is going on.
Take a psychology class, everything is based off of theories save for biological illness.
But cures for biological illnesses are theorized also lol.
