Yep.
Overpopulation is the root of all other problems on this Earth. Pollution, climate change, resource depletion, crime, poverty, and disease. Just to name a few.
The population is already past the Earth's carrying capacity.

I firmly believe that the Earth itself is going to try to kill us off soon. We're a disease, the Earth is like a giant super organism. Gaia Hypothesis ftw.

I kind of went on a tangent from the people killing people thing lol.

Being a vegetarian doesn't do anything lol. If anything it supports the corrupt agricultural industry of the US and other highly developed countries. Overproduction of wheat, corn, soy etc. is what uses up most of our resources. Not only non-renewables like oil but also resources that are supposed to be renewable like water. You can hardly call freshwater renewable anymore.

But really, that's cute that you want to stop the mistreatment of animals blah blah blah, but by growing crops you're rendering the land unable to harbor grasses that feed animals and destroying ecosystems. There are better ways to go about animal cruelty and stopping it. Humans were evolved to consume plants and animals. Don't think for a minute that you're not throwing off the Earth's natural cycle.

Crops right now aren't "crops." They are genetically modified vegetation. Take real corn and the genetic corn and put it down near many birds. Then come back later.
