If there were to be a Zombie Apocalypse, most likely, it would be parasitic, or bacterial. Most likely. The reason is those to versons of disease wreak the most harm on bodies, and are the hardest to cure. To kill either, you need the right acid structure. Also, they do have the capabilities of taking over a brain. There is a ant parasite which makes ant-zombies. Not fun! So, it could evolve to eat the brain, replace it, and cause that to send electric signals to body parts using primitive heat tracing. Now, if it only affected the dead, that means it would have to have a super spike of muscular endurance from the eating of the brain, so most that are buried could escape, unless it starts on land. Then, it would only affect living, so there would be strong, fast zombies. And they could look just like humans, as there would be little difference. The main difference: Eyes. They would have no pain receptors, so they wouldn't blink, thus no eyes, or they would have cloudy eyes due to lack of use. So, they could move fast, but who knows what else. and if it is a parasite, or canivorous bacteria, it will be violent to other cell structures. Only those giving off heat though. Eventually though, the "Zombie" Would die due to a lack of hydration, but that would not be for a while because as long as it was eating, it would be fine. Put a zombie in a cage, leave it in the sun for a week without food, it will die becayse EVERY life form requires water as it sustains cell structure.

If a zombie apocalypse would ever start, I'm guessing the scenario would be like the Last Of Us, as there is actually a mushroom parasite that can make ants violent and the parasite can spread.
