TREEhugger101 (2014-06-07 17:04:55)PETA wants to stop those kinds of farms, but it is very difficult to scout out and shut down farms. Even more difficult than trying to convert people to veganism.
What you guys are doing when you send them that video of eating a hot dog or steak is promoting harsh cruelty. Shame on you.
I can give you proof. There are videos of this when SPCA workers went in undercover and took hidden cameras with them.
I'll fish up the links when I'm on my PC.

ConnorRonnoc (2014-06-07 17:07:51)^ Still, even though what they're doing is a good thing, the way in which they're doing it is wrong. You want people to join your cause? THEN STOP DOING ALL OF THESE INSANE STUNTS AND MAYBE PEOPLE WILL BE WILLING TO JOIN YOUR CAUSE.
bite za dusto
TREEhugger101 (2014-06-07 17:12:12)THERE IS LITERALLY NO OTHER WAY.
Knowing the type of people in the world now, NOBODY CARES OR WILL TRY TO STOP THESE THINGS.
For all we know, video games could send a message to a kid that they can go hunt whales. Illegally.
PETA WOULD BE A TINY SPECK OF NOTHING IN A SEA OF RETARDS IF THEY DIDN'T GET PUBLICITY TO SPREAD THE WORD.

ConnorRonnoc (2014-06-07 17:13:28)^ YES. BUT THROWING PAINT AT PEOPLE IN FUR COATS DOESN'T COUNT AS PUBLICITY. IT'S JUST RETARDED.
bite za dusto
TREEhugger101 (2014-06-07 17:15:36)IT'S THEIR IDEA OF GETTING THE WORD OUT. PEOPLE IN FUR COATS ARE LITERALLY WEARING SKINNED SADNESS, AND THEY KNOW IT, TOO.
IF ANYTHING, THE FUR COATED PEOPLE ARE RETARDED.

ConnorRonnoc (2014-06-07 17:17:59)^ You need to re-read everything you've posted on this thread. Throwing paint at people is acceptable? People who are trying to wear fur to keep warm are retarded?

espace39 (2014-06-07 17:22:58)Did you know that alot of LEGAL fur comes from animals that were shot and killed quickly and painlessly? Well, thats the case in Britain.
Also:
"And if you don't care, I hope you die, strung up on a hook, missing your skin, crying. I hope somebody burns you alive and kicks your corpse into a bloody mash of stupidity and foolishness you once were. In short, you're dumb and I hope you die.
Also, I'd lose all respect for you and treat you like a sack of rancid feces because you are a sack of shiz. "
Moderator of the year! Seriously, screencapped and I'm deciding what to do with it.
Also, I only buy meat traceable to the source.

TREEhugger101 (2014-06-07 17:23:16)Okay, I'm going to drop the allcaps lingo. Great, wonderful if you buy meat that you're sure is okay. But in the US, these farms are literally the only thoroughfare for produce.

espace39 (2014-06-07 17:26:15)What are you supposed to do with the skin then when you just prepared a freshly shot stag?

ConnorRonnoc (2014-06-07 17:27:30)@TreeHugger That still doesn't explain why it's acceptable for PETA to throw paint at people

TREEhugger101 (2014-06-07 17:29:29)Give it to Native Alaskans/Americans. They use it to survive. They survive on animals alone and can't afford to go to REI.
Connor-
You tell the government to tell the PETA to tell the people nicely to get fur coats from safe resources instead of paintifying them.
Okay, I'm just going to leave this thread before I dramatify err'thing up.

ConnorRonnoc (2014-06-07 17:31:32)^ Again, that doesn't explain why it's acceptable to throw paint at people.

espace39 (2014-06-07 17:31:46)What if the coat was given to them by a loved one before they died and some pimply hippy comes along and throws his water paints infused with his tears on it?

Fair point, but you people have never seen a pig farm, have you? Or a chicken farm? Or cow farm?
Let me tell you.
The average chicken farm:
Seven to eight chickens are crammed into a very small coop- maybe a foot or two across. The coops are only high enough to permit the chicken's height.
All coops are shoved together and hung up on a wall.
There is usually a small area on the floor where the chickens are. These are your "free range" chickens, but they are packed so tightly together that they can move nary an inch or so in one direction.
Average cow farm:
Cows are kept in tiny pens that they can't even turn around or lay down in. Workers don't give a crap if they are healthy or not and often beat them for fun. Some cows are decomposing alive because of viruses.
When the workers want to get meat from a cow, they tie a large metal chain to its back legs and lift the cow in the air. They then slit its throat until the cow bleeds out.
When the workers want skin, they do the same thing except they don't kill it first. See, stabbing or shooting it ruins the skin. They want the meat afterwards, and putting it down will poison the meat.
Sometimes they skin it alive.
There is no use of anesthesia.
Average pig farm:
Oh, gog, pig farms are the worst.
Many pigs are dying or dead. Piglets are separated from their mothers and thrown my their back legs into a tiny pen full of feces and urine.
Many pigs get beaten or kicked for fun, and their shrieks sound so human.
When a pig is going to be slaughtered, they do the same thing as they do to cows.
Average fur farm:
I am going to use a small animal fur farm as an example.
Workers go out and catch the animals. They are then hung by their tails on hooks.
All of them are skinned alive.
Workers burn, beat, or leave the still-alive and in-agonizing-pain animals to hear them scream.
I'll have to post my explanation in a second comment because of the character limit on my DSi.
