Shuckle is based on two things. A type of bug called Scale Insects, and a type of fungi known as Endoliths.

Because of it's name is based in part by Orichalum, which is a mythical crystal, the other half is Lykos, which is the greek word for wolf.

Sylveon is a normal type I really don't see the use unless it has a extremely good movepool.

No, Sylveon is just flying. A dual-typed Eeveelution will never happen.

Normal is just a baseline type that isn't too complex to master, but not too excellent competitively due to lack of offensive diversity.

Shuckle has a low sp. attack stat and Hp stat. It's Hp doesn't do it's outstanding defense and Sp. Defense stat justice. @ Starguardian

If you're looking for good a defensive tank choose Snorlax.

It's due to the origins of it's names, 'Sylph' and 'Nymph', both of which are fae creatures.

Sylphs are made entirely out of wind, and are creatures that represent vanity, (Dem bows and ribbons) while Nymphs are nature sprites that are associated with the land (Earth), the sea (Water) and the Sky (Air)
