Unrelated, but people who are against and actively discriminate against Muslims are still racist. When they think of Muslims, they're often thinking of random, Middle-Eastern people. When they say those things, they're thinking of brown people. They associate Islam with Middle-Easterns, and discriminate against either using the other, regardless of whether the brown person is Islamic or not.

It is not just the nose.

I'm not sure about TapRoot, but I'm being dead serious. Every Muslim/Middle Eastern person I've come across smells bad. My dad says the putrid smell comes from the spices they eat.

By smelling a Muslim family, you're judging a nation of 2 billion.

Pungent odor because of spices (if any) is not permanent. It goes away. Since you were in Las Vegas, where I don't think Indian spices are trendy. It doesn't seem possible that 6 people can smell this bad because of spices that you guys lost your appetite. Since the the bad odor enters the blood stream and then blood goes into lungs. Chances are that the breathe becomes smelly, but of course, it is not permanent.

What I think is that the odor was not from the spices.

I can't say if they all ate spices before entering the hotel though.

Maybe you guys are used to the smell of pork. The fact that people there eat spices with pork makes their body odor way more attractive (sarcasm).

Red meat gives you bad breath + bad body odor.

In the end, it is the culture difference. Yuck.

Probably hair/skin products and crap. I hang out with a lot of white people and I haven't noticed a general white people smell. The smelly kids are all white though, lol.

My mom told me that white people smell like wet dog though. She doesn't hang out with a lot of white people.

If you have just eaten pork and you sit down with a Middle Eastern, he may even puke. But he won't be like "GROSS WHITIE", that's for sure.




Yes, it is a cultural difference, and our Western noses don't like the Middle Eastern people's scent.

Same here, at least I know I would puke 2 times after even smelling pork eaters.

But why am I talking about Eastern view on it?
