Crush42 (2016-03-03 16:50:01)I think that, since the ones who actually understand their religion want non-Muslims dead, we should have all people (not just Muslims, but them as well) go through additional screening and checks before being allowed entry into the country. And yes, banning the Muslims who practice their religion enough to want to kill all of us.

little5 (2016-03-03 21:16:11)Donald Trump is against LGBT rights, and honestly, that's enough for me. I mean, it's not like I can vote anyway.
Unpopular Opinion: Uhh..
Crush42 (2016-03-03 22:23:30)If by 'against LGBT rights' you mean 'against nationalised gay marriage,' then yes, he is. And yes, I support him for it. When the government passed that law, they had no right to; what was originally a state-by-state decision was taken over by the federal government, and what was originally a religious ceremony, with rules (which admittedly had decayed pretty badly over the last 150 years or so, but still), turned into a political issue, with stories about private businesses and people of the law being fined and threatened for 'exclusion' running rampant. I have no problem with gay people in general; my problem is any time the government puts their hands into something they shouldn't, and the resulting idiocy of the braggarts that 'win' at the expense of the people who actually should have won.

little5 (2016-03-03 22:39:22)Okay, sure, marriage started as a religious ceremony. it's not just that anymore, it's evolved to be just a symbol of commitment. Getting a divorce used to be a huge taboo, and it's highly common now. Yeah, maybe the government shouldn't have gotten their hands into this, either, but now there are federal advantages to marriage. And those rights are so, so, helpful to couples that are that committed, hence why they were made. Gay people deserve to be lawfully recognized as the spouse to their significant other, and they deserve the benefits.

Crush42 (2016-03-03 22:47:30)I'd argue that they don't. To be lawfully recognised as the spouse to their significant other? No. They deserve the benefits? I'm not singling anybody out here; marriage shouldn't have federal benefits to begin with; nobody should have them. It trivialises the concept of marriage into 'we do this for tax breaks and money.' It shouldn't be like that in any case, and all too often, that's what happens.

"I'm not singling anybody out here; marriage shouldn't have federal benefits to begin with; nobody should have them."
To an extent, I agree, but it's too late to change that. If you're gonna take away their marriage rights to improve sanctity, then you may as well take away straight couples' benefits and ban divorce. Donald Trump hasn't said anything on the latter.
"It trivialises the concept of marriage into 'we do this for tax breaks and money. It shouldn't be like that in any case, and all too often, that's what happens."
Again, I agree, but marriage rights extend far beyond that. Not being married can prevent you from being able to visit your partner in the hospital.

PANZERFAUST (2016-03-03 23:11:03)@Crush42 I'm confused. Are you against gay marriage, or the benefits that come with marriage in general?
I miss you

I didn't hate Superman for the N64.
I'd rather have fewer and lower taxes than 'free healthcare,' public education and Obama phones.
I hate political correctness so much that those Duke University 'You Don't Say' pictures are
I still hold out hope for a sequel to PokéMon Snap.
I love dead baby jokes (and many other 'disgusting' and 'twisted' kinds of jokes).
