Sure, it wasn't as interesting as 2014 was, but it was a much better year in terms of quality. Macklemore with an amazing hit, Uptown Funk stayed at number 1 for a while, DJ Snake had some alright singles (excluding "Lean On", because I never liked anything about the song in the first place. Probably because DJ Snake and MØ worked with Major Lazer), a "so bad it's good" Vine song, and some more things I haven't mentioned.

Country music wasn't really good this year, but some trends of the genre have ended. Obviously, the worst acts of this genre won't go away.

Hip-hop/rap music had a much better year. The obvious popular rappers that are actually good had some albums dropped this year (Kendrick Lamar for example) and more. But it doesn't mean that the "Vine songs" didn't go away (Nasty "Freestyle", Trap Queen, Watch Me, Hit the Quan, Bet You Can't Do It Like Me, every single Rae Sremmurd has put out, CoCo, Hotline Bling, Post to Be, and much much more). Those specific songs aren't that good.

Downtown (I'm serious here, it's my favourite of the year)

Best moment:
When Macklemore and Ryan Lewis released the song.

Best "so bad it's good" song:
Hit the Quan

Too Long; Did not Read! 2015 was a much better year than 2014, but it still had some iffy moments here and there.

True Survivor (David Hasselhoff) and Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart (Chris Cornell) are literally the only two songs that came out last year that I enjoyed. Granted, I enjoyed them immensely, as they are truly the songs of legend, but still. Even the latest James Bond theme (Writing's On The Wall by Sam Smith) was a horrid earsore. But that brings up a good counterpoint: 2015 did have a James Bond movie (Spectre, which I rate a 9/10) and a new Star Wars film (The Force Awakens, which I rate 8.5/10), so that actually is pretty cool. But 2015 was still gayer than AIDS.

I see why people like metal and the sub-genres of metal.

But the genre isn't for me. I never got interested in any metal songs, and I never will be interested in this songs. My ears bleed after listening to the verses.

^Try power metal, particularly Firewind. It's extremely difficult to find a power metal band that does growler or screamo, so if that's part of the problem, I recommend you check out Firewind and DGM.
