Flux, we have the right to bear arms. However, liberals (like President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and several others) are trying to outlaw guns in America. Which is funny, cos you need to ask yourself: what kind of criminal would obey a law that disarms them? Only criminals and the government would be left with guns, leaving law-abiding citizens as helpless targets. Would the World be a better place if guns had never been invented? Possibly (although bombing, stabbing and beheading would be more regular occurrences), but they have been invented, groups like the Mexican mafia, the Occupy groups, and many other violent radical groups (like ISIS) have more than enough access to guns with intent to attack others--so how, in a situation where we are threatened at gunpoint? Liberal self-defense says piss yourself and hope the attacker gets turned off and leaves you alone. The American way allows you to defend yourself on equal ground, at least give you a fair fight against the attacker.

Too Long; Did not Read! The liberal government we have at the moment is trying everything they can (legal or not) to disarm citizens and put a nationwide ban on guns. So don't worry your little head; if all goes according to their agenda, soon there will only be violent criminals left in the U.S., and therefore, America will fit into that stereotype quite nicely.

There's an essay on this somewhere. They say it's because we're taught from an early age that we're the villain, so we develop a psyche surrounding that, specifically white boys. Especially the physically weak ones, who hit puberty later than their peers and don't match them in physical ability.
It's bogus, but the article should not be too hard to find.

By the way, Ky, you ARE white. You may be mixed Hispanic, but Hispanic's are Caucasian. You have Caucasian features, and are genetically Caucasian. Have fun!

@Flux, it's in our Constitution. The second amendment to the Constitution of the United States is literally this: 'A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.'

To answer your second gripe, has it ever occurred to you that maybe, just maybe, the reason for these shootings is because (gasp, shock and awe) there are bad people in this world? Alright, again, let's say that somehow, the government takes away everybodies guns in America. Criminals somehow aren't able to get ahold of guns, everyone in America is completely and hopelessly unarmed.
...So, what about knives? Thread which could be used for strangling? At what point do we stop taking away everyday tools from people just because, in the wrong hands, they could be used as weapons?

And to answer your other gripes, I'm not the one saying that this guy or that guy or anyone is a crazed, maniacal killer; that would be stereotyping, which, ironically, nobody's calling out the OP for. I'm just stating facts.

I'm going to leave you with this: Good people are clever and ingenious. Evil people are doubly so. Evil manipulates and hurts to get what it wants. Maybe, if we weren't praising evil lifestyles and morally-deprived wickedness in todays World, we wouldn't have so much violence.

The constitution was written a bit over 200 years ago. Times were different back then. The government should put heavier restrictions on guns, everyone will be happy. Teach everyone gun safety, yadayada.
