If you show up in front of a person and tell them that you had one wish, and you wasted that one wish on becoming handicapped, the person who is afflicted by the same condition you wished for would do anything but applaud you. Most likely, that person would look at you dead in the eye, smack you on the side of the head, and call you an imbecile.
Nobody wants to be handicapped. Nobody wishes for it. It's not something that you ask for. If you think you need to suffer to acknowledge how less unfortunate you are than other people, then we have a problem because you're not thinking logically. There will always be someone more poor than you, but that doesn't mean that makes you a rotten kid for wanting more than what you have. You're not a bad person for not accepting how "lucky" you are. Accepting your current situation will get you nowhere. Again, the desire for more doesn't make you a bad person. It makes you human.
If you want to go up those moral stairs so you can look down on us and pretend your choice can be justified, go right ahead. I stand by my choice because I enjoy life and I only want to enjoy living.
