Bugs are very common fear.

I don't really have any phobias. Maybe a slight fear of being forcefully drowned, but then I forgot about that fear.

I was like "I don't fear death, so why do I fear of being drowned to death? Besides, I can manage to keep my breath underwater."

That phobia only lasted like an hour. It was after I got the idea that a bathtub + a guy + a safe on the guy's stomach = drown.

Aren't things lighter in water?

I don't like bugs but when I see them dead/in a container/fake or on a television, I don't get scared.

should I take requests?

A lot of people seem to have trypophobia. I never really felt that way because I became used to small dark spaces when maintenancing my marine fish tank. There's this really pretty thing called live rock, which is basically what it sounds like. The rock itself is alive with invertebrates and all sorts of microorganisms hiding in its dark holes and cracks. You never really know what's inside the live rock because it's usually just cut out of a reef somewhere and transported. The only way to see how alive it actually is is to spy on the tank late at night.

Well yeah I kind of went on a tangent but it used to be really spooky sticking my hand in the tank in fear of a little arm or poisonous worm coming out of the holes. I'm sort of used to it now but I can see why someone with trypophobia would fear it.

No Meia, water doesn't make things magically weigh less. Things float when they have a lower density than the water.
Also, maybe you were thinking of the fact that things float better in salt water. It's because the salt increases the density of the water.

That's what I was thinking. @Kishy

I also have triopophobia. The way you explained it won't really make sense to anyone though. Basically, seeing a bunch of small holes (usually ones you would see made by bugs) would make anyone with our phobia feel like they are about to puke.

The last time I mentioned my phobia on some website, some guy posted a link and told ne to click it. It, of course was a bunch of small holes made by worms. The second I saw it I got butterflies in my stomach and neck and fell off my bed. I ran to the bathroom and took a shower to feel better. It wasn't fun

I'm tempted to look at that picture...

I couldn't help but freak out seeing that. I don't have that phobia.

You can desensitize yourself by looking at multiple trigger images, it's why I'm almost over it, I think.

The lotus pod pictures never affected me.
