I don't miss old YT. YTP has gotten better, thanks to more high quality sources available, and better editing software. The jokes are no longer just inserting memes, and YTPMVs are the best thing ever.




Modern YTP > Old YTP.


Sparta remixes got old really fast, and I can live without top comments.

The star rating was pointless, as a great majority of people would only vote to the extremes. The like and dislike system was just a way to remove the fat. They also updated the youtube video player to HTML5, a coding language seen on almost every modern mobile device. Along with that, Flash is very clunky and memory wasting. The original youtube still had youtubers like Pewdiepie, and they were still very successful and heavily advertised. The only bad thing to come from the new layout was the integration of Google Plus, and half of it was due to people spamming inappropriate ascii art and a rebellious stick figure named Bob.

I forgot to mention the top comment, which only endorsed the creation of a youtube hivemind, a problem reddit suffers from due to it's "currency" of karma.
