Windows Vista is the terrible OS. Windows 8 is an excellent OS, and I fail to see why anybody could hate it. The windows icon has been replaced by a metro-based menu, but all you have to do is type what your searching for in the menu. The search is all the same as it is in Windows 7, just that you can search in specific categories. (Which is incredibly useful).

You can buy a developer Apple Account and get iOS 8 beta.

Windows 8 isn't that bad as most people expect. Windows 8.0 was bad, but with 8.1, it fixed many things and brought back the Start button.
