Even though I am a retro gamer, I was born a year or two after one of those kids. I was born a year after the Gamecube was released, yet within 12 years I know more about this than my almost-16 year old brother who is also interested. Are these kids even allowed to use the internet?

And I wouldn't allow my 7 year old to roam the Internet because 4chan and pedos...

You'd be surprised by the ages of kids who are allowed to use the internet and accidentally click stuff that shows ... stuff.

And although half of those kids are young, why would a console shoot lasers?

Kill me for this, but I've never seen one irl nor do I know how it works (I could figure it out, but I've only seen up front pictures. I don't know anything about it, really). ;P

What those kids needed is common sense. My 5 year old brother knows how to use a GameBoy thanks to common sense.

Heck, even my mom knows how to use a GameBoy but she's not a gamer.
