No, I mentioned total war because that is exactly what Japan was doing. Fighting to the very last man.

Had the bombings not happened, the war would have dragged on for a longer period of times, which would have caused more American casualties, which were not necessary. This was the reason why the nuclear bomb was chosen.

If you want to know about war crimes, go pick up a book. I don't think you're dumb enough to believe Americans are the only ones who've committed war crimes, though.

Geneva Conventions? War has a framework and rules we SHOULD

War isn't even the subject I read into. Internal government structure and economy.

Actually, this thread was conceived for three reasons.

1. To anger Fred (political threads are the sure fire way to set people off)

2. It was to stir up controversy and to get people thinking about their values on July fourth. I like seeing what people have to say. Most of the threads I have started on this website were to stir up a curiosity and the opinions of others.

3. With the assload of July Fourth threads, I wanted to make an anti one to even things out. Variety.

Rustling jimmies is just a bonus.
