You speak of the government's greed, but seem to fail to understand the meaning of your words. Every government is what you would call greedy, America is no exception. Even in the early days, there was Manifest Destiny, and then everyone became involved with imperialism. Every nation wants power, and if they can, they will fight for it. Had you not been blinded by your ignorance, you would know that every country takes a part in this. Oil is a very valuable resource, but not only that, it's an unrenewable resource. We aren't the only ones fighting for oil. The fact that you aren't dishing out $50 per gallon of gas alone makes you a cynical hypocrite. No nation in the world thinks to themselves, "We don't care about money. We don't need more resources. We're perfectly fine just the way we are." You're telling everyone in the world they should be satisfied with what they have, even if they can have something better, because fighting for it would be "greedy". If you're so disgusted by greed, why don't you get a job and tell your boss to pay you with hugs and kisses. I tried to dumb this down for simplicity's sake.
