Startled by her reaction, the smile he had only wavered slightly before he took an apologetic tone. "I'm sorry Miss, didn't mean to surprise you or anything. I just wanted to chat." As he said that, his eyes slowly wandered over to his partner, then back to Calliope. "We're the early birds it seems, since there's only four of us here."
The staring one, his expression still unwavering from his poker face, eventually gave up on the Yoshi, and returned to staring blankly into space.

The only instances of life within the ghost town were the tiny patches of grass along the buildings and the occasional crows flying overhead. Keeping a note of this, he continued forward.
"Assuming we're not the only ones that show up," the yoshi piped in. "Whatever the case may be... Are we all ready?"

The yoshi continued in his firm steps through the dirt, bound for the group in the distance. Noticing one member of the group staring at him, he glared right back. Although he didn't feel intimidated by any of these people, he did keep conscious of the fact that they weren't like him. He was well aware that the group he was working with had different reasons for being here, but the fact of the matter was that he needed to get this over with and avoid interfering with whatever it was that they were here for.
