I started watching it a few days ago and couldn't stop, just finished it today. Episodes 1-14 are absolutely brilliant, I'll be watching those over and over. However after 15 there is a serious drop in quality and it feels like a lot of filler and fan-service until the finale, 24-25. I just didn't like the elf concept in general. It wasn't as stressful do to them being able to log out, plus being able to respawn. The lack of Asuna seriously hurt it too. Kiroto's sister was such a weak replacement not to mention how messed up in general her arc is.
I wish they had more SOA episodes and less Elf BS. As stated, the only ones of those that mattered were 15, 16, 24 & 25. Everything else was pretty much filler. I'll admit, what happened to Asuna was absolutely heart-wrenching and I'll give them that.

Sword Art Online seems like some slapdash last-minute promotional crap you'd find for some cheap action figure or something. The art quality is decent enough but beyond that... The voice dubs are annoying and unfitting, the plot is uninteresting... just... It seems like a little kid's show.
I'm disappointed in myself for wasting time on it.
pikarceus (2014-03-28 22:42:29)Eh, I wouldn't say that. I felt the first half was something truly unique and is probably the best anime I've watched. But I really hated ALO. It's like the show devolved or something. Incest, fanservice, tentacle rape, seriously? It was like a completely different person was in charge of the script. As said before, the beginning and end of ALO was pretty good...but the stuff in between was just so lackluster.
As for Gun Gale, not sure how I feel. Kiroto having a chick avatar I do not like. If Asuna isn't in it, I'll also be pissed.
