If you want action, I suggest things like Hellsing (Original and Ultimate).
There's 'Dangan Ronpa' if you want mystery, but I suggest playing/watching the VN because it's better.
Finally, Sometimes, anime tend to have long and confusing names.
Oreimo's full title translates into, and I kid you not, 'I can't believe my little sister is this cute'
