BTW, the Xbox One wasn't the most expensive system ever. THAT accolade goes to the turd bomb known as the 3DO, which clocked in at a whopping $699 upon release in the 90's.

@Nintendude-You attack me for being negative about a system I don't own, but I could do the same thing to you. You're being extremely defensive about a piece of hardware that you don't own.

I'm a consumer. If Nintendo wants me to buy their product, they better give me a good reason. I buy based off of quality and entertainment value, not because of brand loyalty like you.

@Tetris-I'd like more than Nintendo games on my system. You really limit your enjoyment if you only buy games made by one publisher.

Games dropping in price fast may be bad for devs, but it's great for gamers.

With Nintendo, I feel their quality is slipping a bit with games like the "New" series and Super Mario 3D World. They're playing it extremely safe, which is really aggravating. Because let's be honest, they could actually put effort into Mario, and it would still sell just as good as it normally does, if not better. There is zero reason for them to not innovate with their current franchises.

I would argue that Naughty Dog set the standard for quality this gen. Uncharted 2 is one of the best games ever made in my opinion, and Uncharted 3 is up there as well. With Uncharted 3 they actually maxed out the PS3.
The physics in those games are amazing, play the first chapter of Uncharted 2 and it's impossible to not be blown away. Not to mention their use of motion capture in their cutscenes is unparalleled.

They also took a risk with The Last Of US, and it paid off huge. I can't wait to play it. I was watching my friend play, and it just looks insane.

No, I don't have the Wii U cause it's expensive for me. I would get the Wii U at day 1 however I didn't have the money. I know it doesn't have good third-party support because it's too ''gimmicky'' Althou, they use the Vita and PS3 crossplay games. But their first party games would keep us busy for a while for more third party games to come, hopefully.

@Tetris-Pikmin 3 caused a sales spike, which is typical when a quality game comes out on a system starving for quality games.

The PS Vita has had greater sales spikes, with games like Persona 4 Golden and Soul Sacrifice, yet is still technically a failing system.

As for my other point, I'm saying that Mario will sell regardless of what Nintendo does to it. There is very little risk in innovating with Mario, as he is so well known.

The Last Of US is a new IP, made even more risky by the fact that it was released towards the end of this generation.

@Nintendude-Wii U has bad 3rd party support because 3rd party games don't sell, because Nintendo fans usually don't buy 3rd party games. It's a shame, they're missing out. On top of that, Wii U is hard to develop for.

As for PS3/Vita crossplay, it isn't anything like the Wii U gamepad.
It's more comparable to Monster Hunter 3DS+Wii U.
