@gamesaddict

That's another thing that gets annoying.

People think spending five minutes giving this long dramatic description of what a bunch of guts and blood and body parts look like and give a lot of detail to it. At first it might have been pretty scary, but after it started the bandwagon affect all over the Internet, it started to get old.
It's so common now that it's in almost every pasta I see and people actually think it will scare us.

"Hey I know! To make this lame story good, why Don't I write a fifteen paragraph essay about blood and gore that lil Jimmy found in him room??! It's perfect! Not to mention how original the idea is."

@Silverane

Actually, there are plenty of other ways to make a story scary. Using something that is extremely overused and annoying can't really be held any excuse for. Sorry that you can't read minds but you're still going to have to be more creative and original than that.

Try using actual suspense or something. Also, there can't be suspense if there isn't any character development.

Alright then. Ladies and gentlemen, Silvervane.

Yes. And you're not being exactly fair to them, Anti.

Explain how I'm not exactly fair to "them" and who "them" are.

They can make spinoffs if they want..

@Frequent

I think you fail to see the problem here. There has been way too many and it's starting to annoy a huge majority of people who go to the creepypasta forum. Most video game glich creepypastas are all the same.
And guess what? Video game creepypastas have n charactor development whatsoever. If there is any personal development though ( in rare cases ) then the only one that gets any is just the main protagonist. Nobody else.

That's why we need to see less or better yet, none of these. You see where I'm going with this? Besides, you should at least TRY to use a different style for making creepypastas or stories.
I encourage regular stories because we rarely see them. Most of them are only about high school and 3dsplaza getting hacked anyway. This forum lacks creativity, which is why I made this thread.

Is that really something that should be considered unfair? People are likely to adjust quickly anyway.

Maybe it will be forcing somewhat, but does that mean I'm ruining this forum? No, I'm making it better and only less than a tiny majority of this forum disagree with me so far. It's not like I'm taking complete domination of this forum.

Besides, you too will adjust quickly. You don't have to stop making video game glich creepypastas all together,, just make them less often. But for now we really need to time down the Jeff the killer and videogames gliches. Also, spam stories don't deserve to be here. We have every right to get rid of them.

Inspiration is ok. As long as it's not completely copying off of something.
AntiChrist (2013-06-19 02:24:34)
Well I guess in the end it only matters if the story is good or not ( unless it's a freakishly obvious ripoff )
