First of all, slenderman isn't a freaking demon. He is slenderman and he was created in those forums you mentioned as a fictional character. FICTIONAL.

He is not real and you have no proof of him being real. There are a lot of people that want this closed so you can do one of these three things,

Or, leave this open and get everyone pissed off. Your choice.

Well, I do know he initially got popular during a Something Awful forum contest described as "Paranormal Images." The image of Slendy at a playground was submitted with this caption:
