It's more like an extracurricular competitive thing for fun, not the actual idol industry. They're not making money or anything, I don't think that whole corrupt idol industry thing is a solid criticism of the show as a whole.

Nutsy (2016-07-29 01:28:13)The show itself is squeaky clean so I agree. One thing is never understood is why or how that idol merchandise store had stuff with μ's members on it without them knowing. Probably just a difference in laws since like you said, they're school idols and not under a contract or something that would prevent it.
Sweetness and Lightning is definitely something I'm going to check out when I get around to watching current stuff.

Watching NieA Under 7 right now. Finished episode 11 and it's nothing spectacular at all. I guess that's why it's considered the least cool of the four. Watching Haibane Renmei next and Texhnolyze last because from what I've heard it's the biggest "wut" out of the four.

Nemesis (2016-07-29 06:12:00)So far I'm 2/3 done with Perfect Blue, and I have to say I was doubtful at first but once the plot started building up it built up quickly and has remained intriguing. I like the story but I think the way this animation was drawn is disgusting, and it's not just because Me Mania is ugly. Take this for example, a screenshot of a random scene of Rumi:
Like, really? I'm not all together sure if this is on purpose or not because obviously some of the characters, especially Me Mania, are supposed to look horrid. It seems like Mima is the only decently drawn character. Perhaps this is because she's the starring role, but my god.
