Yo Mega, I can't recommend Kiznaiver enough.

Kiznaiver has pisspoor pacing. Watch it if you like pretty shows that needed way more than 12 episodes to properly develop everything without seeming rushed. The animation and scene direction is all it has going for it.
Trigger's other series from the same season, Space Patrol Luluco, was perfect in pacing and it managed to do so in 8 minute long episodes. It was fun to watch, unlike some of the painfully contrived and underdeveloped edgy parts of Kiz.(Best part of Kiz was the appearance of Luluco characters in the last episode)
Mega you'd probably like Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions. The first season is good.

Heck no, it was in your face unbalanced. They didn't develop that pointless masochist fujobait guy at all, him being perverted was his only defining trait. They spent WAAAY too much time on edgy manga lesbian, leaving you feeling like you got cheated out of getting to know the other characters that could have had really interesting development. Needed to be a 24-25 episode series, really.

I think the story had it's big shifting point during those episodes where it was more focused on conveying feelings and messages than the characters. I know character developing is important but the characters are meant to represent different types of people, you can interpret most of the things the characters are thinking at all times, that in itself seems like a good sign to me anyways.

How can you understand the connections between the characters and how their internal conflicts affect the group as a whole when you can barely understand the characters themselves. Not saying that you're not allowed to like the show, it's just very flawed. Even Trigger knows they rushed its production.

The characters have a relatively real personality, It doesn't take much to understand the core basis of their character. But yeah, I kinda did want to learn more about Tenga for example. But the basis of the show was to convey messages, not a intense story full of action and twists. I think it just needed more tidbits of info to form interpretation.

Eli's backstory is just "I'm good at ballet but not good enough". Eli's role in Nozomi's backstory adds a bit but everybody knows Nico has the best backstory.

Nozomi knows what's best because she's a 10/10 fortune teller.

Umi has a lot going on actually. She's quite the romantic.
