Truth is, nothing in Evangelion means anything concrete. It's vague and gives you a tiny bit of information you can link together by yourself behind some symbolism most people could understand and the rest is just vague on purpose so people theorize and start a buzz. Anime fans fell for a big ruse. We've been duped.

I thought that the quiet girl and the annoying cat girl were the worst. Quiet girl doesn't really have a personality besides being quiet, she's just plot acceleration to get the whole idol thing going some more. The cat girl started out as a tomboy and I guess they dropped that trope? Then she randomly starts going NYA every sentence. I mean maybe I missed something but her character is pretty badly fleshed out. I don't know why she would push some weird autistic "I'm a kawaii kitty cat" act when she was so hard pressed on being a tomboy before.
I also don't get why Umi was so embarrassed to wear a dress thing if her school uniform skirt was the same length or shorter.
A lot of the characters just don't make sense, and they throw in contrived side-conflicts that make it worse.

You've overstepped your boundaries. Umi has way more going on than Mio. Their similarities end at being modest and having long hair. I'd go into detail but I don't think you'd take what I said seriously. Perhaps if I told you that Mio is a carbon copy of the Yamato Nadeshiko character type you'd understand. It's unfair when you say you don't like Maki because she's an annoying tsun when Mio is literally just a character type with nothing extra or interesting going on. (Not to mention that Yui, Ritsu, and Sensei are just budget versions of Azumanga Daioh's Osaka, Tomo, and Yukari-sensei respectively)

If you don't like the way the characters are developing, you have to condiser the circumstances the anime was made under. The reason they have to show every character off straight from the get-go is so the existing fans of them from a few years back when Love Live started don't get triggered that their anime waifu goddess didn't get screen time. Love Live Sunshine is actually doing a much better job at this so far. Only the second-years and the student council president are really focused on right now, although all the characters have been shown off and had a few interactions together.

The show focuses on the second years, so yeah, Kotori is going to have a lot of screen time. Thought you could piece that together yourself.

One last thing. Are you sure you're watching it the right way? You kind of seem like one of those people that expect everything to be deep or clever(Eva, Mushi-shi, P&S). If you watch something like Love Live with that mindset, obviously you're going to be disappointed. Anyway, it's fine if you legitimately don't like it. Like I said, it's a hit or miss. We can just drop this here if you want, unless you want to get mad and try to argue with me because I said stuff about K-On characters you didn't like. It'd give me something to do today.

imo, Eva does have a true ending, the only problem is that half the information that supports the true ending comes from a video game released in 2003. The information was given by Anno but it could just be an after thought (and something else but I forgot). Even then I would like to believe that over it actually making no sense.

@Nutsy She's pretty bland from what I've seen, I'm on the episode before her true introduction though so she's gonna have to be one hell of a character to surpass Minori.

Good lord I hate shounens. I made it half way through Jo Jo's bizarre adventure recently, and it was pretty funny for a while. I can't tell if it's supposed to be bad on purpose.

The only shounen that's made it to a 7 or above for me is Gurren Lagann, One Punch Man, The Second Raid and fma/fmab. Since shounen's such a big thing I thing there's probably a lot of good ones out there.

I liked Green Laggan but towards the very end I feel like it became a little stupid. Still awesome though.

Does One Punch Man even count as a shounen? It seems more like a comedy to me.

It seems pretty clear to me that it's trying to make fun of other shounen and comic books. The webcomic, the manga, and the anime, that makes it an even funnier series to me. I don't really see how it isn't.

Also yeah, dragonball is a lot of fun, perfect mix of action and comedy.

@Flux- We're not watching Azumanga Daioh because the humor is bery niche and the girls aren't very cute so I haven't been posting pictures of them so no discussions popped up.

I'm honestly glad you didn't take my bait.

Also One Punch Man is entirely a parody of super hero comics but in a completely over the top way.
