What if our world was actually a finger of an alien?

Hrm.

Just have a lucid dream and see if you can sense anything. Stuff like sandwiches for taste, and sharp things for pain/feeling shat. Also, try hearing something... I never really noticed if I hear anything in dreams or not.

Once, I had a dream where George Washingtons wife was trying to choke my sister so I punched her. Then she tickled-not the haha tickle- me between my hips then I felt the paralyzation. I even felt speechless and dizzy. I can never talk in my dreams.

I'm assuming that's what you're trying to say.

Doreee, when you take a multiple choice exam, do you stop to think about why your answer is the right one? When you come up with your answer, it's then checked by someone who knows the answer, and if you're incorrect, it's explained why the right answer is correct.

In science, because we do not have the luxury of someone knowing the right answer, theorems are developed by instead assuming that our answer is the wrong answer. Rather than looking for the right answer, we look at the answers we've come up with and think about why it's the wrong answer. When we can't come up with a reason why it's wrong, we then give it to others and show them all the ways we've tried to prove why the answer is wrong, and they use our notes and see if they can use our methods to get the same results.

If the answers are different, we look at where any mistakes were made, and question why there were 2 answers (both of which are still treated as wrong). If it's the same, then the new guys then try to prove why it's wrong by coming up with methods of their own. When those fail to prove the theory wrong, they share the results with more people.

So until someone proves why it's wrong, it remains a thoery. If the results are consistent, we then use the methods and research in an attempt to apply what information we've gathered.

Because testing has shown that element X reacts to Y at Z temperature in W ways, and it's remained consistent through various tests, we use that for something else.

Because a human mind is far too complex to perfectly replicated in data.

Because there are some things you can't give a robot. Like emotions.

Are humans the (near) perfect life-forms?

I mean, think about it. Technically, out of the all of the eras on Earth, we humans are the smartest. And we'll only continue to further evolve.

Human beings have many flaws, most of which are errors the mind constantly makes. Not only that humans as a race have stopped evolving.

Actually we're still very much evolving.

Science. \/

Was quickly going through this thread and saw someone write something about how atoms are made up protons and neutrons. Well, they actually have a sub-structure consisting of quarks.

Also, I do a lot of research on quantum mechanics, I found something about the double slit experiment a few months ago and saw how an electron can pass through two slits at once, meaning it was able to exist in two places at once, and the result was an interference wave. I talked to my science teacher about this, and he told me about how he had read about a "One-electron universe" hypothesis; it states that the universe has only one electron and is supposed to explain how all electrons have the same property.

Also, the universe might be expanding into itself. According to the big bang, if you can reverse time far enough, you'd see the universe was at a dense single point. Explained as a balloon, when it exploded it expanded rapidly, but the balloon can continue to expand because its surface hasn't yet been fully stretched. I'm not saying the universe will "pop" when it's the end, but there is something about the "Big crunch" that says the universe will collapse creating another big bang.
