BipolarBear (2016-04-25 04:14:43)I was mostly using it as an example, everything here can apply to things outside FNAF

Crush42 (2016-04-25 04:23:14)^^ But it's pretty much the focus here, FNAF. About your Mario comment, be prepared for your mind to be blown:
Yeah, Nintendo's totally milking Mario (and Zelda, for that matter), when there have only been a good handful of really good games (in my opinion).
However, FNAF is kinda like Saw; it's a one-trick pony, and most people seem to agree that while the first one was okay, or even good, the franchise has long overstayed its welcome.

Asriel_Dreemurr (2016-04-25 04:48:08)I agree. Although i am looking forward to this new game. If Scott can do anything good, it's making teasers. (totally not the only reason i am excited)

mariotwilght (2016-04-25 04:50:47)TBH, I kinda like FNAF. yes the game has tons of jumpscares. Yes, the game series is milked (I mean FNAF World come on Scott). But, the mystery of the game are scary and fun. Plus, the game uses a new way of Survival Horror game play with no guns and just a camera. In all FNAF is just ok so both sides of the fence need to stop IMO.
War, what a great distraction from complicated domestic issues.
Asriel_Dreemurr (2016-04-25 04:52:54)^Oh look someone smart on the Internet how rare.

ScootsRiver (2016-04-25 06:23:05)MLP (likely) milked: Beloved
Mario franchise milked: Beloved
Zelda franchise milked: Beloved
Call of Duty franchise milked: Beloved
Five Nights at Freddy's franchise: Universally hated... Why?
PANZERFAUST (2016-04-25 06:27:01)My rant lines up with yours:
Endeavors often made to 'stand out' frequently result in an egocentric mindset ruled by esthetic and pseudo-individuality, which in turn still forces conformity. By perpetrating the idea that esthetics are an extension of ourselves we are subjected to criticism and prejudice, and thusly disclaim true individualism as a whole. Aberration should not be treated as such an acquirable amenity, as striving for it only earns a false reputation based off of masquerade, superficiality, and vanity.
I miss you

DISCLAIME
Bandwagons. Oh boy.
So, as we are all aware, there is a new FNAF game. And the hate is widespread. But why? The main thing I see and hear is about milking FNAF dry. And thats dumb.
Lets take Mario for example. How many games are there? Alot. And I never hear anyone complain about a new Mario game. It earns money. So why do games like FNAF and Sonic get hate?
[well Sonic sucks nowadays]
Bandwagonism [totally a word] and mob mentality. People started hating on these games, and to try to fit in, others STEAL their opinion instead of creating their own.
Lets create an example. Imagine just an average kid. Lets call him Bob. He sees the cool kids in the corner at school. He wants to fit in. They start talking about his favorite teacher, Mrs. NoLifeNuenez in a bad way. If he wants to fit in, Bob wont stick up for the teacher. So Bob starts ripping on poor, lonely Mrs. NoLifeNuenez. Now he fits in.
Now, have I ever jumped on a bandwagon? Of course! But I think back, and form my own opinion. Especially when sending out opinions out in the open.
I dont like FNAF. I just dont. But here, I can list things I dont like about it, but I can see the appeal, and respect fans. Whenever I see "FNAF is cancer", all I can see is an angry 5th grade boy who hates on FNAF so kids dont take his lunch money and to fit in.
Everything here can be applied to things outside gaming, and the internet. The amount of people who adore Lebron James disgusts me. He has a poor attitude, acts like he is better than everyone else, and doesnt play fairly and right. Yes, he IS good, but most of his fans are bandwagons.
kill me with a doorknob.
