A low budget, high quality laptop is what I'm getting, but I have NO IDEA which one.

Me being a girl, I of course wanted a really nice looking one, so I was drawn in by Acer and Lenovo. Too expensive D':
Any suggestions?

I don't have a laptop, but I think the Sony Vaio's might be good. My school has Lenovos, but I guess they are expensive.

Actually, it was my mum who first said I should get a laptop. I'm going to be using it for homework and my screentime. My parents are actually pretty strict about computers, so that means half an hour for actually having fun on it a day. Yay. I browse on my 3DS, wich I secretly figured out the parental controls for.

I'll download stuff like Publisher and... (yes, I'm clueless, my school had Windows from 2007 last time I checked.) I'll also be re-downloading Minecraft.

I'm actually pretty overwhelmed by the amount of interest this thread has got, and @TidalTidus was correct, I'm only 12 years old.

My Dad's taking me to a shop at the weekend, so I'll be able to physically look over a few laptops. My parents have never owned a PC that is not Apple, so they've left all the research to me. In my 30 minute screen time. Woop.

Get a tablet with a keyboard. Since your family is used to Apple, maybe you should get a used or refurbished iPad 2/3 or iPad mini.

There's a deal for a Lenovo, Dad sorta fell in love with it (he's like that,) so did my sister. I'm researching it a little more, I really like it aswell.
