Most everybody, at one time or another, has lied. Tell the truth now: that includes you and me. In fact, some people, sad to say, lie almost all the time. Psychologists call these people compulsive or psychopathic liars. They tell lies even when they don’t feel they have to. Everybody lies, but few understand what lying is, what it does, and how to stop it.

People lie because they are worried on how the person they're lying to is going to react if they told the truth.

1. Several, I don't know the precise answer.
2. Family, Friends.

4. I regret some lies I've told, and others didn't really affect anyone.

We lie to get what we want.


I hardly ever straight up lie, due to my upbringing and religion.
However, I more often won't be entirely honest...if someone just assumes my gender over the internet for instance, and they're wrong, I don't usually correct them because I think it's funny...though in my opinion, that's not being honest.

* I don't lie about petty things. I tell the truth so I can tell that big lie and put people at ease. Also, I lie about super petty things.
* People who I didn't want knowing the truth.
* Because I didn't want them knowing the truth. (Obviously)
* Everybody benefited from it.

3. To start drama, and scare/confuse/trick people

If I am asked something, I will answer honestly. It is not in my nature to lie. The closest I can get to lying is withholding the truth. If I don't feel I am obliged to confide the truth, I will not.

So, I don't lie.
