Even though I probably won't upgrade unless they stop patching Windows 7 or something, Windows 10 is gonna be free for everyone. Even if you have non-genuine windows.

Spencer did you read the image? It clearly states "Once upgraded to Windows 10, We will continue to keep it up to date for the supported lifetime for no additonal charge"

I don't doubt there'll be some kind of catch, but It looks absolutely no strings attached right now.


Also, I'm guessing they do mean within the first years launch

I have 4gb's of ram but the problem is how it's going to affect my PC gaming.

Operating systems aren't that hard to pirate. I put Windows 7 ultimate on both my Windows XP machines. In fact, My old PC repair boss gets paid to put cracked copies of Windows on peoples machines.

Too true. I was 14, and successfully got W7 for my XP machine.

Though, it's not the same machine I currently use.

Windows 7,8 or 8.1 are the only ones eligible. Probably 'cause anything lower most likely won't run Windows 10
