We descover things we like, and things we don't like. Sometimes the things we used to like, we don't like anymore. We learn how to best react to situations--at least, how we prefer to react.
When asking if "people change", what are you thinking is changing about people? It's not as though we become different persons throughout our lives...we're always the same tarnished souls on the inside; only our preferences change from time to time.
