I know it was released on November 2013, but I just watched it, so who cares? Besides, it's Disney's latest animated movie, as of now.

I'm just creating this short thread about what you guys (and me) think of Frozen. Me? Blimey, I loved it. Especially the soundtrack. Easily Disney's best animated movie (and I'm not even joking). The movie is still in the cinemas (in Europe, at least) so go watch it (in 3D) now if you haven't watched it!

...Wait.

Well whatever. I don't even care. They make good movies. Who cares about anything subliminally? Sure, the amount of Disney movies with subliminal, illuminati, and sex messages are stupidly high, I seriously don't care. The majority of good movies I see is from Disney. Tangled, Brave, Wreck-It Ralph, White Fang, FROZEN, and a whole ton more.

Favorite soundtrack in the movie (spoilers?):

So what do you guys think (besides the subliminal bs)?

Frozen was a good movie, but I couldn't enjoy it because of all the people in my class who had seen it like 7 times.

Let It Go is overrated, listen to For The First Time In Forever (Reprise).

It was not THAT good. It was ok but it was given too big of praises for no reason I think.

What was bad (or not so good) about it? -Kitty84

Atrocious.

Too many songs thrown at you every five minutes. None of them make an impression, precisely because of the sheer amount.

The plot is terrible. There should have been some other way to set up what was going to happen later on. 10 minutes into the movie, one of the protagonists is engaged and off to find the abominable snowman, and the other has fled to her icy lair after freezing everything. There is hardly a break from the rising action to allow some character development. For example, when Anna meets the trolls, instead of revealing something meaningful about her soon to be husband, they throw another song that you won't remember at your face and say they found and raised him. That's it.
There are too many loose ends. We don't know why Elsa has powers. We don't know why the trolls have powers. Why can the trolls perform neurosurgery, but not fix something in someone's heart?

I hate most Disney movies, but this is definitely one of the worst.

If you're going to see a Disney animation, you've got to expect singing, so I understand why you hate Disney. -carlos

Waaay overrated. Carlos already said a lot.

As for the music...It was bad and rather uncreative. The songs really had no impact on the story and just seemed like a chore.

"Let It Go" was horribly written...lyrically speaking. Though the tune is admittedly catchy, you have to listen to the song several times to understand the message she's trying to portray: "Don't let them in, don't let them see. Be the good girl you have to be! Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know...well now they know! Let it go..." Okay, so basically; be yourself, even if it hurts people. Nice message, Disney.

As for the movie's world view, which has somehow been perceived as "Girls don need no man!" is completely wrong. Anna wouldn't have gotten far at all without Christoph.
Instead, the message I saw unfold was that "true" love exists outside of sexual relationships...People often never consider their family as people who love them, and Frozen only reminded us of that (which, by the way, is a good and unique message especially for a Disney movie).

Yes, I'm a bit nit-picky; but criticsm is the only enjoyment I've been able to gain out of watching that movie. After all the hype, I expected better. I was highly disappointed.

Frozen is WAAAYYYY over-rated.

In my opinion it was meh, but the person voicing Elsa had a good voice.

Overrated, too many songs thrown out every five minutes, unstable plot, and too many cliches.

I was pretty confused throughtout the whole movie. I thought Elsa could make ice and snow appear, not make freakin' ice castles, living creatures and most of all, a dress, is that like frozen to her skin or something?
