little5 (2014-05-31 22:27:25)You don't..
Bad quality dog food (aka, most dog foods) has byproducts, meal, etc. in it.
For example.. "Animal meal".
Animal meal if basically the leftover of animals that humans won't eat. The gizzard, lungs, heart, head, bones, etc.
It's best to see exactly what it is.. like "Chicken breast".
By-Products are even worse.. Especially if it's non-specific. It could be anything.. Roadkill, euthanized cats and dogs, diseased cattle, dead zoo animals.. They boil and grind up the meats and do bake(?) the fats from it. It's horrible.. I've even seen pictures of rendering plants. There was even a collar found. >_<
Lesson of the day:
Look for specific species in your dog's food.

ConnorRonnoc (2014-06-01 07:19:07)It's nice to see I'm not the only one who tests dog food by eating it.

iceman (2014-06-01 16:09:35)Wouldn't surprise me to see @ConnorRonnoc eating dog food by himself when he doesn't even have one.
Dimentia (2014-06-02 06:26:15)If Lord Dimmy says so.
