WYoshiX2 (2014-04-18 16:59:26)Depends on how long the jail sentence is. I wouldn't know, but I bet that prison is quite mentally degrading. There's no way of knowing how the prisoner would react when released, especially with variant sentences.

Revenge just makes people angrier. People in public would revolt if prisoners were killed the way that they killed other people- leading to the downfall of the law system.
Murders, if anything, would happen more often- thieves and criminals would become more keen and cunning.
So, basically, revenge as punishment is a stupid idea.

To act upon the desire to seek revenge is to bring out the worst in oneself. The purpose of imprisonment is to punish those who have broken the law. However, the goal should not be to permanently remove them from society, but to give them the opportunity to reintegrate themselves instead.

You guys do know that we HAVE to pay for those assholes in jail right? Taxes on stuff you buy. Some of that goes towards them. Your mom and dads pay from their jobs some of it gets taken out for those Pricks. They arent worthy of life. :/ Eye for a eye.. little5 (2014-04-18 21:32:54)There's a prison on an island somewhere. The jail houses are painted red and the prisoners are allowed to roam freely. I think they are offered therapy and activities and things like that. They're allowed to roam freely and could easily leave the island.
None of the criminals have committed another crime afterwards and none have tried to escape. I forgot the name of this jail.

I dont know if anyof you had herd but there was a news story that a man had beat his 8 month old daughter to death because he was drunk.. He was put in jail.WTF???? They should have someone bigger and stronger then him and beat the living crap out of him... :/
Do you think murders,rapest,molesters etc should be put in jail or the ground? Think about it! Should they really get to live? No they shouldnt they are just going to get out some how and hurt more people. What do you think should really happen to muders etc? Death or jail? DEATH!! Lets say someone killed or molested you brother,sister friend whatever. Would you want them to live or die?
