Basically a new enemy shows up. He is stronger than the good guys. The good guy have to get stronger. When they get stronger they do not kill the bad guy when they get the chance.
OH SURPRISE PLOT TWIST!
There's a new bad guy even more powerful.
The first bad guy either helps them or gets killed eventually.
The good guys have to get stronger.
They fight the new bad guy.
The new bad guy I isnt killed when they have the chance.
Now the new bad guy has the upper hand. The new bad guy kills one person.
Suddenly the worlds tinyest violin plays for them.
Goku gets angry and has a new super special power.
Goku kills the new bad guy after a 12 episode long battle.
After all that a different bad guy shows up that is more powerful than everyone.
Repeat.

But if you don't like how gohan took 19 minutes to be ss2 then watch uncut kai. It takes out the filler and the long crap. IMO it's awesome but the android/cell saga is confusing.

Most of the scenes excluding filler are action. Like goku and piccolo vs raditz, nappa vs everyone, nappa vs goku, goku vs vegeta, goku vs frieza, goku vs ginyu, gohan vs cell, gotenks vs super buu, vegeta vs majin buu, that's like 1/3989455676312400558654585 of the fights.

Dragon Ball Z? When I made a thread about kai, someone who's name is not bean thought it was cheesy. Dbz was made in the 80's to 90's and aired in japan and here on toonami aka cartoonnetwork, it's most well known anime of all time and is filled with action. Has anyone heard of it?
