There is finally a new entry in the series, and this time by a new studio. People question how well this studio will portray the Halo universe, and fans question what is next in Master Chiefs adventure. Well just to say, this game lives up to all the hype it has been getting. I will describe the game in-depth in this review, so lets start.

Story
From what I know since this is my first Halo game, the campaign is about super soldier John (Master Chief) in his quest to save the world from the Forerunners (a powerful alien race) and the Covenant (A species of strong aliens that worship the Forerunners). The story is also about Master Chief trying to save his AI companion, Cortana, from self destruction. The story is packed with amazing fights, emotional and character conflict, and a well fleshed out and detailed story. As an added bonus, you can play the entire campaign locally co-op with a friend. It really makes things much more enjoyable and adds some chaoticness when it comes to working as a team. Everything in the game is voice acted and the cutscenes really show the emotions on people's faces. 343 Industries has done an excellent job with campaign, it really continues the story and makes it better.

^Campaign is all types of crazy

Graphics
The graphics in this game are eye meltingly amazing. Everything in this game has amazing graphics and never lets down. Character actions and expressions look so life like in so many ways. This game never has graphical hiccups and runs at a sexy smooth 60 fps. The graphical engine in this game enables for millions of particles to appear on the screen, like when a Promethian Knight dies. 343 Industries has mastered another technique that makes Halo an amazing series.

^Gotta love these graphics

Controls/Gameplay
Halo still has those amazing controls that everyone loves. LS to walk, RS, to change direction, and RT to shoot. It may be an overused control scheme in every FPS but it is very easy to learn and very fluid. There are also way more things you can do if you combine some buttons, so experiment a lot, you can learn some new things. Along with normal controls there are vehicle controls. There are many different vehicles you can use in Halo 4, and each has something that makes it special. Vehicle controls are very easy and responsive. And since each vehicle is unique, each has their own special controls, but are easy to learn. 343 Industries has done well with controls, job well done.

Multiplayer
Multiplayer is at its best. There are 4 person local matches and 16 player online matches. There are over 20 maps and they are all not based on the campaign and over 20 different game modes that are fun. Multiplayer runs smoothly still at 60 fps and it only has graphical hiccups if you have bad wifi. Multiplayer even has vehicles (not something it's competitor Call of Duty has), so you could go around on a futuristic Jeep, while your friend is on the back firing the machine gun. Vehicles add so much layer and depth to multiplayer along with the usual gameplay. Maps are huge so don't worry about the thought of being crammed, there is enough space for everyone. Multiplayer has a leveling system like Call of Duty and you can even customize your loadouts, weapons, and armor abilities. Multiplayer has you coming back for more every single time. There is even an options to customize your own multiplayer map that you can use, which adds more to the all ready full experience. Along with multiplayer, there is a mode called Spartan Ops. Spartan Ops is an episodic story taking place 6 months after Halo 4's campaign. It can be played with 2 players locally, or 4 online. It adds so much more to what we wanted in multiplayer. 343 Industries deserves a Nobel Prize for multiplayer.

^I love multiplayer

Sound
The sound in this game is amazing. As I have said, everything in this game is voice acted. And when you are in the game, you can hear everything that is going on. From the enemy monsters shooting you, to the voice of Cortana speaking to you in combat. Sound is great and deserves to be praised. The game also has beautifully orchestrated music that goes along with the theme with each level. The music makes you feel the emotional development going on between the characters, and also serves as a great theme for each level. Once again, 343 Industries has done it again with another great aspect of the game.

The Verdict
This game is a roller coaster from start to finish and really serves Halo fans the game that they really want. I can tell that this is a game Halo fans will be playing for years. I can also tell that 343 Industries has been working very hard with Microsoft to get this game done. This game is the game, and should not be missed by fans and non fans alike. Anyone who has an Xbox360 is lucky to have an amazing experience available. It's games like these that set Xbox360 apart from PS3.

Final Score:10
+Campaign
+Multiplayer
+Graphics
+Sound
+Everything

Awesome. Oh, and by the way, CoD: WaW had tanks in certain multiplayer maps. So yeah, one CoD game has vehicles in multiplayer.

Games are never perfect at release. There's always a few bugs that are overlooked because the development was on a schedule. The bugs are patched when they update the game, therefore, a few glitches won't really bring down a game quality. When the game is incredibly buggy at release, and isn't patched up soon after, then it becomes a problem and would affect the score.

So, ugh. Who's up for Halo 5? I saw the leak trailer awhile ago. Looks like our 117 went roguish on us since Cortana...

Spoiler alert. Won't discuss it.
