The leader bluestar passed away shortly after the incident with Sandpool, Blackclaw then became leader. He choose Nightpelt as a deputy while willowpool and sandpool stayed as his medicne cats
Just 10 short moons later, many cats includeing sandpool caught greencough.Even upon insistence from Blackstar,willowpool, and Nightpelt he would not eat the herbs giving the last ones to the kit bearing queen hollyclaw
Sandpool pased into starclan that night and was re-born as a kit the next morning.

This occours before nighstar led the clan.The med cat at the time was willowpool.The deputy was blackclaw.
