You fail at Math.

Sticks and Stones = Slingshot

Slingshot = Deadshot

Deadshot = DC

DC= Batman.

Therefore, Cyberbullying equals Batman.

How old are you? You can bully someone with words. You don't always have to make physical contact with them.

Cyberbulling is making videos, writing messages, posting pictures, and spreading rumors about someone using the Internet. Not just words on a screen.

Go ask your parents if calling people names is bullying.

Bullying hit it's low point. In the 80's, it was normal for Jocks to insult everyone and Cheerleaders to be female dogs. It just happened. In those days, not one anti-bullying program or group existed.

Today's bullying is much tamer than it's 80's counterpart due to the physical abuse being almost entirely replaced by verbal. It's all words these days, no action. Yet despite it being uncommon in some places, there are at least if not more, than 26 different Anti-bullying groups or programs in existence.

Why? Because people are easily misled to attacking something that isn't a real problem while the Serious ones get tossed aside because they don't give a damn.

The actual causes of suicides or attempted suicide in teens these days are a combination of mental instability and Antidepressant side effects. We won't fix the fact that teens are being prescribed Antidepressant medication despite the clear-cut warning, "May lead to increased thoughts of suicide in Teens and Young Adults", which is an actual health issue, but it's not

Not the case. As I said, there's been a sharp increase in mental instability over the last few years, but it's not serious enough to warrant it's own organisation despite it being the cause of suicide.

These kids kill themselves because they aren't sane, are on meds, or both.

Teasing is bullying.

Monday: "Hey dumbass! You are so weak you got beat up by your younger brother! Hahaha!"

Tuesday: "Hey you weak piece of crap! Get beat up by your brother again? Hahaha!"

Wednesday: "What's up, weakass. You're so pathetic for losing a fight to your younger brother!"

Etc. That IS BULLYING. Use common sense.

That's verbal abuse. Physically, you aren't being damaged and it should only bother you if you allow it to.

Use some logic every now and then. No sane person would commit suicide over a few insults, even if it was on a daily basis. At the worst, they'd hate the person's guts.

While we do have some degree of control, and sometimes we push back when our patience has been worn out, people lack an actual thought process that isn't full of nonsense these days.

You don't like him/her, You barely know them, and they obviously have no life if they have to insult you to get a few kicks. Why are you still listening to them talk?

Who said anything about commiting suicide? Don't be lazy and read the whole topic.

Teasing was invented as a word so people can get away with it, now it's being abused and taken to far. Im teased for being silent and not talking at school. I know teasing, and bullying when I see them. You can't control your feelings. You can try, but see how it works out for you.

The topic is about Cyberbullying.

If you've read my other posts, my point is clear. The whole Anti-bullying Crusade is another pointless endeavor at the eradication of a problem that simply doesn't exist. The worst bullying could ever do is make you despise your tormentor, unless it's physical.

Cyberbullying isn't physical, and has no major impact on a person's social or economical status, yet is targeted because information has been misconstrued as to the nature of what started this whole thing.

A few kids commiting suicide over Facebook posts. The target of all the negativity was bullying, when antidepressant medication and mental instability is what led to the deaths.

There really is no point in having the ignorant masses fight phantoms, but it's a profitable market due to America's capitalist economy.

People pay to do something they think helps, and other people get money from this because they simply hosted or funded the events. Who can pass that up, since America's fat cats love disaster, almost as much as the media.

Back to the point, the thread maker is right. No one is actually being hurt fatally by a bit of teasing. Sure, your feelings are hurt, but just like in the internet, 99% of the world population doesn't care about it.

Cyber bullying is when someone spreads a rumor or teases you on the internet. Bullying can be: physical
oral and
mental. It really does hurt when people tease you, if they tease you ever so often, it gets really painful, yeah, have you ever been spanked? Wll dat cn do stuf 2 u, c, i spk wif grmmr dhll n grmmr iz neded.

I remember when I was really bullied, last year, I was literaly bullied by my teacher. LITERALLY, she'd tease me and take me to the office ALL the time, "Oh Meia playing with her hair" "Meia talking back" "Meia said her mother doesn't care" Me AND my mom was ready to slap her. My gym teacher says something is wrong with her because the kids she have problems with, she shouldn't be having any problems with.

- Teasing is NOT bullying, correct
- - - Teasing is joking
- - - Bullying is serious

Taken Example

Monday: "Hey dumbass! You are so weak you got beat up by your younger brother! Hahaha!"

Tuesday: "Hey you weak piece of crap! Get beat up by your brother again? Hahaha!"

Wednesday: "What's up, weakass. You're so pathetic for losing a fight to your younger brother!"

Etc. That IS BULLYING. Use common sense.

Is absolutely correct. But what is in that box IS NOT TEASING, no, that's BULLYING.

Teasing is when your friend or fam says something about something you did and laughs about it, not laughing at you.

Bullying is a different matter. This is when it is intended to insult, offend, or make cry etc the target. Teasing is only a joke.

There's the difference, now maybe this topic should be closed.

But I'm not closing it, because it feels wrong doing this as if I was saying "I'm correct and you will not get a chance to have your say".

May be closed later.
SomeLuigi is changing in 2015.

Consider this the final post:

The topic says that bullying means you have to make physical contact with someone. And that teasing is not bullying.

What is teasing?
Definition of Teasing show
A : to disturb or annoy by persistent irritating or provoking especially in a petty or mischievous way

B : to annoy with petty persistent requests : pester; also : to obtain by repeated coaxing

C : to make fun of

Notice it doesn't say it only comes from friends and family.

Source: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/teasing

What is bullying?
Definition of Bullying show

Definition of BULLY
transitive verb
1: to treat abusively
2: to affect by means of force or coercion
intransitive verb
: to use browbeating language or behavior

Browbeating means "to intimidate or disconcert by a stern manner or arrogant speech".

Same source.

As clearly stated, teasing does not always have to come from family members or friends. Of course, not ALL teasing is bullying. It becomes bullying when it is persistant and UNWANTED by the victim.

Look up "teasing" in a legit Thesaurus and see whether or not a Synonym that is bully or a word that describes a bully is in there or not.

This all could have been answered easily by asking your parents this: "Mom/Dad, can teasing people be bullying too?"

Ask them that. Please.
